Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and curious individual to join our New York Commercial Property team as a Summer Intern. This 12-week paid internship offers a deep dive into the world of commercial underwriting.

You will:

• Learn how to evaluate and underwrite commercial property risks.
  • Gain exposure to the insurance lifecycle and the broader commercial property market.
  • Collaborate with experienced underwriters and cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in real-world projects that impact our customers and business.

You will be part of a dynamic and supportive underwriting team that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Your work will directly contribute to protecting our clients’ assets and ensuring the profitability of our portfolio.

Qualifications:

• Interest in Insurance, underwriting, market trends or pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Finance, Risk Management, Actuarial Science).

• Proficiency in math and comfortable with statistics, probability and financial principles.
• Effective communicator and team player.
• Adaptable, self-motivated, and eager to learn.

The base salary range for this position in New York is from $22/hour – $25/hour; a candidate’s salary is determined by their relevant skills and experience. We value our teammates – both their capabilities and character – as demonstrated by our amazing culture.
