Sewing Machine Operator
Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
General Description
This position is responsible for the sewing of products produced on the flatbed and circular knitting machines.
Duties/Responsibilities
Surges the trim in colored thread and inserts label on all socks
Cuts and sews compressogrip sleeves, shrinkers, humerals, ulnars, fractures
Apply bone rings and fold to compressogrip
Tack Torso’s
Presew socks prior to processing
Casting pants and Cast socks
Cuts and sews knee sleeves
Scans WO’s into the system
Performs quality control inspections
Provides general janitorial work throughout manufacturing area
Cuts split in pelvic socks
Hems Sterling products
Follows priorities and workorder due dates when completing initiatives
Actively participates in department quality meetings and Lean initiatives
All other duties as assigned, including helping in other departments as needed
Qualification Requirements
No formal education required
6 Months to 1 year experience
