Job Description

Part-Time Human Resources Benefits Administrator [5109]

DC-based nonprofit organization seeks a long-term, temporary Part-Time Human Resources Benefits Administrator to support employee benefits and assist with administrative tasks related to the HR department for 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Address employee inquiries and requests related to employee benefits and leave.
  • Support open enrollment process and staff onboarding and offboarding.
  • Develop and assemble pertinent HR documents such as new-hire paperwork.
  • Assist with employment verifications and compliance forms.
  • Compile data for employee census. 
  • Create templates and forms and maintain employee records. 
  • Support the general administration of HR.
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Exemplary judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional and positive attitude.
  • Understanding of standard HR policies and procedures. 
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office applications, and HR systems.

Requirements:

  • Previous human resources and benefits administration experience.

Rate: $30 – $35 per hour.
