Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented legal Secretary/Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in legal research, and a deep understanding of court procedures and document preparation. This role involves assisting attorneys with case management, drafting legal documents, calendaring, and maintaining case files. Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion are essential.

Legal Secretary/ Legal Assistant Requirements:

* 3+ Years Experience in the legal industry
* Calendaring case deadlines including but not limited to discovery deadlines, court hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings.
* Open new files, run conflicts checks, and maintain all client and general files electronically
* State and/or Federal court filings
* Work well under pressure, keep a calm and professional demeanor at all times
* Schedule hearings with opposing counsel and court staff
* File all motions and pleadings in state and or federal court
* Make appointments and travel arrangements; maintain calendar and deadline reminder system
* Draft correspondence
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Interact with clients, visitors and attorneys/staff via phone, email and in-person
