Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in supporting the RCM function by leveraging analytical tools to enhance revenue cycle performance, drive business insights, and support key initiatives. You'll be responsible for creating executive-level presentations, developing business models for operational leadership, and managing transactional activities that support the team's objectives. You will also conduct root cause analyses, manage project tasks, collaborate with senior leaders, and perform ad hoc analyses to continuously improve the revenue cycle processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth analysis to identify inefficiencies and propose workflow improvements that drive operational efficiency.
Lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders to gather project requirements and recommend solutions for greater automation and efficiency.
Analyze revenue cycle data, including billing, collections, and accounts receivable, to identify trends and develop actionable solutions.
Develop and optimize weekly and monthly scorecards for all locations and sites to monitor performance.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the effectiveness and stability of reporting and analytics infrastructure.
Present complex data and insights in a clear, concise manner to RCM team members, provider partners, and executive leadership.
Gather and analyze data to support ad hoc reporting and assist in the creation of analytical data reports.
Gain a deep understanding of healthcare payers, such as Medicare and Medicaid, as well as provider services.
Adhere to all relevant policies, including information security protocols, to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
Perform additional duties as needed to support the team and business goals.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (graduate degree a plus).
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, ideally within the healthcare industry.
Strong understanding of healthcare payers, including Medicare and Medicaid, is preferred.
Skills:
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with both team members and senior leaders.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently while maintaining a focus on team objectives.
Professional demeanor with experience presenting data to executive leadership.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and reporting.
Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools like Power BI, Power Pivot, and Power Query.
Familiarity with office software systems, including MS Outlook and Smartsheet.
