Position Title: Executive Sous Chef  

Pay 14  

​​​​​​​ Salary: $85,000 - $90,000

Job Summary

Step into the spotlight at Lincoln Center, where culinary creativity meets operational excellence! As the Executive Sous Chef , you will work closely with the Culinary Team to lead kitchen operations, ensuring every meal is a memorable experience. From catering prestigious events to managing the lobby bar and retail operations, this role offers a unique opportunity to showcase your culinary skills at one of NYC's most renowned venues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Culinary Team to ensure adherence to all safety, ServSafe, and sanitation standards while delivering exceptional food quality.
  • Motivate, train, and lead the back-of-house team to achieve operational excellence and meet the expectations of our clients, guests, and Lincoln Center itself.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared with creativity and cost-effectiveness, delivering high-quality presentations that wow our guests.
  • Assist in planning, ordering, inventory management, and food preparation to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Support budget management and cost control to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Roll out exciting new culinary programs in collaboration with the marketing and culinary teams, keeping our offerings fresh and on-trend.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the overall success of the culinary operation.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of culinary experience in high-volume or fine dining environments.
  • Proven expertise across a variety of kitchen stations and positions.
  • Ability to think quickly, create and deliver dishes on the fly, and adapt to changing needs.
  • Strong knowledge of food costing, inventory management, and quality control.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Certifications in food safety (ServSafe, HACCP)
  • Passion for staying ahead of culinary trends and delivering creative, market-driven presentations.
