Role Definition
To design and develop moderately complex product and component concepts for release to production in a manner to ensure superior performance, durability, reliability, quality, and serviceability to the worldwide marketplace. Helps maintain top level configurations.
Responsibilities
• Generate drawing packages in AutoCAD Electrical consisting of front elevations, floor plan layouts, control overviews, and communications plans.
• Interpret customer drawings and internal quoting documents to develop switchgear drawings.
• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum or equivalent experience.
Skill Descriptors Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
Level Basic Understanding:
• Describes alternative data-gathering techniques and tools.
• Documents basic data-gathering methodologies.
• Identifies key details in reviewing customer drawings and specifications.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Level Basic Understanding:
• Explains characteristics and steps in designing solutions for customers.
• Identifies issues and communicates with others when a decision needs to be made.
• Define the critical information in AutoCAD blocks to capture design requirements and create the associations needed for accurate wiring and assembly drawings.
Level Working Knowledge: • Delivers helpful feedback that focuses on behaviors without offending the recipient.
• Listens to feedback without defensiveness and uses it for own communication effectiveness.
• Makes oral presentations and writes reports needed for own work.
• Avoids technical jargon when inappropriate.
• Knowledge of low voltage switchgear and medium voltage switchgear is a plus.
• Knowledge of control systems design is a plus.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Vault for drawing management is a plus.

Summary Pay Range: $79,800.00 - $119,760.00
