Job Description

The Dog Resort in Fort Myers, FL is looking for one dog daycare attendant to join our 23 person strong team. We are located on 12140 Metro Pkwy Suite F. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and engaged.

Responsibilities

We're looking for hardworking individuals who want to grow with our team. (NOT looking for seasonal help!)  Weekends and holidays are a MUST

At this time, we are looking for doggie daycare dog play attendants  who can commit to 2 or 3 overnight shifts AND 1 or 2 afternoon shifts .

• Working with dogs every day can be fun and rewarding but it also takes a lot of patience. It’s a lot of messes and a ton of cleaning. You'll be expected to be on your feet most of the day. You should be proactive and self-motivated.

Duties:

-Ensure the safety of all of the dogs in our care

-Manage dog play in playgroups

-daily cleaning – sweeping, mopping, dog messes of all kinds, laundry, and yard clean up

-Preparing meals, feeding, and administering medication, with great attention to detail

-Some basic grooming – baths, brush out, ear/eye cleaning, nail trims

-Customer interactions

Qualifications :

-A love of dogs of all sizes, a caring personality and  patience

-Willing to get down and dirty - cleaning is a huge part of the job!

-Excellent communication skills and can take direction, both verbal and written

-Flexible availability -  Weekends and holidays are a MUST

- Works well as a team and independently

-customer service skills

-A desire to learn about dogs and their behavior

-Able to lift 50 lbs + able to be on your feet for an 8 hour day

- Availability to work weekends and holidays - they are our busiest times and are REQUIRED!

** Excellent attendance – the dogs and your team depend on you

-must be 18+ and have reliable transportation

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
