Associate Attorney

Career Consulting Partners has teamed up with a large plaintiff-side litigation law firm that represents regional, national, and Fortune 500 companies across various industries in federal and state courts. We are looking for Associate Attorneys with civil litigation experience. We are open to attorneys with a labor and employment background, as well as those seeking to transition into this area of law.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• The caseload will primarily consist of wage and hour cases, including Class Actions and PAGA claims (80%) as well as matters involving employee discrimination, hostile work environment, sexual harassment, workplace injury, consumer rights, and workplace retaliation (20%).
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence with accuracy and clarity
• Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, document review, and e-discovery processes.
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, and trial preparations. 
• Appear in court for motions and hearings, presenting oral arguments, addressing procedural matters, and negotiating with opposing counsel to advance case strategy

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licensed to practice in California
• Must have 1 - 3 years of Civil Litigation experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat required
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a professional environment and maintain a professional demeanor in all situations, including the ability to remain calm and efficient during stressful situations.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Base compensation $110,000 - $160,000
• Plus attorney fee commissions/bonus structure
