Visiting Instructor - Biological Sciences
9-month contract position

The Department seeks an individual with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. The position will involve both lecture and lab instruction for an entry- level biology course, upper division courses including virology and immunology; other courses may be assigned depending on a candidate’s area of expertise. Candidates who are particularly passionate about student success in are especially encouraged to apply.

Duties:
Primary duties for this position include teaching a range of courses that may include but are not limited to:  Introductory Biology for majors including some corresponding labs, Immunology, Virology, microbiology, other courses as needed..

Required Qualifications:

 

• Earned Masters of Science degree (or A.B.D) in cellular biology, molecular biology, virology, or in a closely related discipline by the position start date of August 15, 2025.
• Teaching or TA experience at the College/University Level.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD in cellular biology, molecular biology, virology or in a closely related discipline
• College/University level teaching experience in microbiology or molecular biology or immunology
• Instructor of record for college/university level class
