The Vehicle Inspector is a key team member that will be responsible for maintaining high quality and safety standards on the wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions we produce.
What you'll do:
Perform visual vehicle inspections for mechanical & electrical function to ensure compliance with safety regulations and our quality standards.
Identify and document accurate data regarding defects or discrepancies.
Communicate results of inspections to managers, supervisors, and production staff.
Maintain an organized and clean work area.
Provide feedback and make recommendations to improve Quality processes.
Participate in quality audits & training and provide recommendations on ways to improve efficiency.
Perform routine checks on diagnostic tools and equipment ensuring accuracy and functionality.
Maintain compliance with Freedom Motors quality and safety standards, policies and procedures, and OSHA safety regulations.
What you'll need:
Previous experience in vehicle inspection/quality control in the transportation/logistics or related field preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of vehicle mechanics and systems.
Ability to analyze data, perform calculations, read & interpret blueprints, and possess basic computer skills.
Demonstrated initiative, willingness to take on greater challenges, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong time-management skills, organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
Outstanding attendance record and reliability.
Valid Driver’s License and acceptable motor vehicle record.
