"We are seeking an Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (Nursing) for a 13-week travel/contract assignment in Saranac Lake, New York . Both local and traveler candidates are welcome to apply."
Job Details:
Shift: 12-hour night shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Pay Rate: $62 per hour
Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in an 8-bed ICU .
Monitor vital signs, manage ventilators, IV drips, and administer medications.
Assess, document, and update patient conditions using Meditech charting .
Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical interventions ( DKA, post-op, sepsis ).
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for optimal patient care.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery.
May float to Med-Surg as needed.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience (required).
Licensure: Active NY RN license in hand (required).
Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support) Required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Required
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Required
