3rd Shift - (10:15 pm - 6:15 am) Sunday through Friday morning

Starting Pay Rate $23.36/hr 

MSA Safety in Murrysville, PA is now hiring for an energetic individual to join our team as a TCM Spray Painter in a manufacturing environment. This position is primarily responsible cleaning, painting, inspecting, and packing TCM hardhats. Additionally, this position is responsible for setting-up, maintaining, and cleaning the paint booth, paint gun, and assemble lamp brackets/cord holders and lugs. Adherence to safety, housekeeping, and quality standards as they relate to the production and company’s objective is required. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining production goals through productivity targets and cost containment by eliminating waste. 

Responsibilities:

• Cleans TCM hats prior to loading hats on paint booth fixtures and spraying with paint. 
• Unloads hats from paint both fixtures and packs hats for shipment. Also responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of paint guns.
• Maintains inventory of supplies used within the paint line such as paints and other chemicals etc. and completes required paperwork and material handling duties. 
• Assembles lamp brackets/cord holders and lugs when needed.
• Performs set-ups and adjustments on the paint booth, including performing basic preventative maintenance activities such as oiling/greasing.
• Responsible for quarterly thorough clean-up of booth.
• Saws and grinds excess material from hats using band saws and surface grinders.
• Uses rivet machine to apply rivets to various shells.
• Prepares raw material including cutting material that is us in the process.
• Operates punch press and clicker if needed.
• Visually inspects maintains relevant paperwork.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:

• Ability to:
  • read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
  • understand standard units of measure.
  • set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices.
  • lift, 30 pounds without assistance.
  • perform standard software operations..
  • maintain established inventory levels.
  • use power and hand tools.
  • operate simple machines.
  • effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporaries.

  • prioritize and organize work.
  • wear a air purifying respirator.
  • perform lockout/tagout.
  • obtain fork truck license.
  • operate at a level that meets or exceed quality and productivity standards for the work area.
  • work in a team environment.
  • wear ANSE Z87 approved safety glasses, steel toe shoes and other PPE as required per Job Safety Analysis.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 months previous manufacturing or other related experience required.
