Job Title: Summer Camp Co-Director
Location: St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic School, St. Louis, MO
Reports To: School Principal
Employment Type: Seasonal / Part-Time
Schedule: Weekday hours during camp sessions, with additional planning and prep hours before camp begins
St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic School is seeking a faith-filled, energetic, and highly organized individual to serve as Co-Director of the Summer Camp Program . This position shares responsibility for planning, coordinating, and leading the summer camp experience for children in a safe, engaging, and spiritually enriching environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with school leadership, fellow staff, and camp aides to create a well-structured and fun program that reflects the values of Catholic education.
Collaborate with the other Co-Director to design and implement a fun, faith-based, age-appropriate summer camp program
Oversee daily operations of the camp, including staff scheduling, activity coordination, and camper supervision
Lead and support camp aides and volunteers, providing guidance and modeling positive leadership
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and school leadership
Monitor camper behavior and ensure consistent enforcement of safety and behavior expectations
Handle emergency situations with calm, appropriate action and report incidents as needed
Assist with maintaining the camp schedule, coordinating field trips, ordering supplies, and organizing materials
Promote a welcoming, faith-centered environment consistent with the mission of St. Raphael the Archangel School and the Archdiocese of St. Louis
Practicing Catholic preferred and committed to the values of Catholic education
Prior experience in education, camp leadership, or youth ministry strongly preferred
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
Ability to collaborate with a co-director and work effectively as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm in high-energy environments
Must be at least 21 years of age
CPR/First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain)
Must complete and maintain compliance with the Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment Program , including Protecting God’s Children training and background screening
