Job Description

Multi-discipline architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for their Huntington, New York office! 

Responsibilities:

• Lead/manage the design team in executing/delivering structural engineering assignments and plans
  
• Prepare calculations, charts and graphs
  
• Monitor work for code compliance and accepted engineering practices
  
• Projects include low to mid rise buildings and concrete structures
  
• Perform inspection/analysis of existing buildings
  
• Oversee development of construction drawings and design specifications for bids
  
• Develop proposal letter that includes technical scope and fee
  
• Prepare client letters and reports
  
• Manage projected financial budgets
  
• Mentor/train junior staff
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering
  
• 8+ years of Structural Engineering experience
  
• EIT required
  
• PE License preferred
  
• Experience managing budgets
  
• Supervisory experience
  
• Experience writing proposal preferred
  
• Knowledge of ETABS, STAAD.Pro, RAM preferred
  
• Knowledge of Revit preferred
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
