Summary

We are currently accepting applications for a Spanish Teacher for our Elementary Class (1st through 5th grade) and our Primary Afterschool program ( students ages 3 to 6) for the 2025-2026 school year. Northwoods Montessori School is located in a beautiful neighborhood community just 12 miles north of downtown Atlanta. Come see why children and families love it here!

Position : Spanish Teacher
Hours for Elementary : 1:30 to 2:45 on Tuesdays or Thursdays / Hours for Primary Afterschool program : 3:15 to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday afternoons
Requirement: 2+ years of e xperience teaching Spanish to primary and elementary students
Compensation : Based on experience

Duties

Elementary

• Students in our Elementary classroom receive one afternoon of Spanish per week. Students are divided into two groups: Beginner and Advanced.
• Beginner class: 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. Advanced class: 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. Total # of students: 18
• The teacher provides instruction for small groups in a prepared classroom environment. (Work books are not used).
• Be safety minded!

Primary Afterschool Program

• Parents may elect to enroll their child in the afterschool Spanish class for children ages (3 to 6).
• Class size is limited to 8 students.
• Hours: 3:15 to 4:00 p.m.
• The teacher provides instruction through games and activities.
• Be safety minded.

Requirements

• Be willing to learning about the Montessori approach to education
• Must speak fluent English and Spanish
• Background check
• 2+ years of experience working with the different age groups. Certification preferred.
• CPR and FA Training (Training can be provided by Northwoods)
• Punctual
