We have an excellent opportunity for a
Sales Applications Engineer to join our team of professionals in our Lawrenceville, GA location. As a Sales Application Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and Embedded Computing Architects with all aspects of technical sales (pre and post).
You will interface directly with customers and Elma engineering to provide technical support and to evaluate RFQ’s and support other customer-related issues. The ideal candidate will have a technical background with excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Recommend solutions based on current Elma products and customer requirements.
- Provide product application engineering to support design (interface between Sales and Engineering)
- Prepare cost proposals and quotations for RSM.
- Support RSM in preparing system configuration descriptions and other order specific configuration documents.
- Provide technical support to customers.
- Responsible for maintaining detailed customer technical requirements and providing prompt and effective feedback to Engineering on open technical issues from customers.
- Visit customer sites as required.
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- AS/BS in technical field (EE or ME) or equivalent experience or equivalent technical background preferred.
- Entry level candidates will be considered.
- Experience and/or exposure working in an electronic, electronic packaging or high-tech manufacturing preferred.
- We require strong PC skills with MS Office, specifically strong excel.
- Experience CAD software a plus.
- Sales experience and exposure to Single Board Computer, Ethernet Switch, Storage and Software integration knowledge is a plus.
- Organized with meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once. Ability to work with different disciplines.
- Some understanding of contract review is preferred.
Compensation starting at: $60,000.00, plus a quarterly bonus.
