A multi-disciplinary community development firm offering a broad range of planning, engineering, building and other professional services.

HQ: Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Employees: 170 (1600+ in wider group).

Full time, permanent, direct hire.

Location : Miami-Dade County. This is a remote role but the candidate must live in or near, or be willing to relocate to, Miami-Dade County where the inspections will take place.

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

ROOF & RESIDENTIAL BUILDING INSPECTOR - MIAMI-DADE COUNTY

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct roof and residential building inspections to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Identify and document violations, maintaining accurate records and files.
Perform additional duties as needed to support the inspection and compliance process.

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of local building codes, construction methods, and current technologies.
Ability to interpret codes on-site and offer practical, code-compliant solutions.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, the public, contractors, government agencies, and clients.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective time management.
Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound judgments.

This role requires someone who is well-versed in building codes, able to work independently, and possesses strong communication and organizational skills.

Required Certifications

Full Driving License
Florida Standard Inspector License in Building required
Florida Standard Roofing Inspector License required
Florida Certified General Contractor License required
Florida Standard Plan Review License in Building preferred but not required
