Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • 1. Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service by assisting clients with their cruise vacation inquiries and requirements.
  • 2. Cruise Selection: Recommending suitable cruise itineraries based on clients' preferences, budget, and travel dates.
  • 3. Itinerary Planning: Creating customized cruise itineraries, including selecting destinations, excursions, and onboard activities.
  • 4. Booking Management: Making cruise reservations, handling cabin selections, and managing booking details.
  • 5. Knowledge of Cruise Lines: Staying informed about different cruise lines, ships, and their amenities to offer informed recommendations.
  • 6. Pricing and Discounts: Researching and presenting pricing options, promotions, and discounts to clients.
  • 7. Documentation: Assisting clients with travel documentation such as passports, visas, and travel insurance.
  • 8. Problem Resolution: Addressing any issues or concerns that may arise before or during the cruise and coordinating with cruise lines for resolutions.
  • 9. Sales and Commissions: Meeting sales targets and potentially earning commissions based on bookings.
  • 10. Remote Work: Working from a remote location, often using online booking systems, email, phone, and video conferencing to communicate with clients.  Great business opportunity with outstanding commissions.
  • 11. Time Management: Efficiently managing multiple clients and their bookings.
  • 12. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and cruise line policies.

A remote cruise planner may work independently as a freelancer or be contracted by a travel agency specializing in cruises. Strong communication, sales skills, and knowledge of the cruise industry are essential for success in this role.
