Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Location: Florissant, Missouri

Position Type: Part-Time, M-F

Reports To: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Job Summary :

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides one-on-one behavioral interventions to individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental conditions. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT is responsible for implementing individualized ABA treatment plans to improve communication, social skills, self-care, and other adaptive behaviors.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Key Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans developed by the supervising BCBA.
• Provide direct therapy in a one-on-one setting (home, school, clinic, or community).
• Collect and record data on the client’s progress using appropriate technology and documentation methods.
• Utilize positive reinforcement and other evidence-based ABA techniques to teach and support skill acquisition.
• Assist with functional behavior assessments and skill-based assessments.
• Collaborate with families and team members to ensure consistency and generalization of treatment goals.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards as outlined by the BACB.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred.
• Active RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) (Preferred)
• At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred).
• Ability to pass background check and maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable transportation

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of settings.
• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, and play with children for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds if needed.
• Ability to travel from location to locations (i.e. client’s home)
