About the Role:
As a Psychiatric Social Worker with us, you will provide mental health services and psychosocial support to individuals and families facing mental health and substance abuse challenges. You will assess client needs, develop treatment plans, and offer therapeutic interventions to help clients manage crises and improve their overall well-being. You will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care. Positions may be temporary, short-term, or long-term, and may be located in various settings, including secure federal facilities, remote locations, and clinics.
What You'll Do:
Conduct psychosocial assessments to determine clients' mental health needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients, guardians, families, and others to assess and access needed resources.
Provide individual, family, and group therapy.
Discuss discharge issues with the treatment team, patients, guardians, and families.
Advocate for clients to ensure they receive appropriate resources and support.
Coordinate with other healthcare providers.
Offer crisis intervention services.
Educate clients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and resources.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
Facilitate access to community resources and support services.
Monitor and evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Supervise, assign, and manage transportation services for patients.
Initiate or oversee guardianship and/or involuntary commitment proceedings as needed.
Adhere to all applicable laws and policies.
Monitor legal issues (probation, parole, court hearings) and provide testimony as needed.
Provide support and assistance to other staff.
Provide clinical analysis and recommendations at conferences.
Assist in covering social service needs as they arise.
What You'll Need:
Minimum of one year of clinical experience in direct patient care as a licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Experience in a relevant setting (detention, residential, hospital, outpatient, nursing home, etc.).
Experience with pediatric and adult patients.
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
Current license in New Hampshire with no record of disciplinary action.
BLS Certification from an approved organization (AHA, Red Cross, ASHI).
Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Card.
Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Concord, NH.
Ability to travel on short notice or serve in various medical units.
Must not have a criminal record (other than minor traffic violations).
