Job Description

Position Overview

The Program Analyst will provide financial program management support to TSA ensuring accurate budget execution, contract alignment, and fiscal accountability for division and branch operations. This role will track and analyze expenditures, develop spend plans, and coordinate financial communications to support TSA leadership in making data-driven resource allocation decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the division’s Project-Based Spend Plan and update forecasts based on operational priorities.
  • Track, reconcile, and analyze contract expenditures to align with branch and division budgets.
  • Compile and cross-analyze financial data from invoices, procurement requests, and meetings to identify trends and funding needs.
  • Monitor budget execution to mitigate risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare financial reports and briefings for leadership, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Support process improvements to align financial tracking with TSA Office-level spend plans.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of financial analysis experience in a federal program environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial tracking/reporting systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Familiarity with DHS/TSA financial processes preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated compensation range for this position is between $75,000 and $80,000 annually, based on benchmarks in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. This range reflects a good faith estimate for all experience levels.
