Position Summary
The Public Safety Service Area's Procurement Analyst performs administrative, program, policy, legislative, and financial analyses through professional analytical and financial assignments and provides complex analytical support of bureau programs, goals and objectives through preparing analytical, statistical, and operational reports. This position supports the Financial Operations program by providing status and monitoring reports, drafting proposed contracts and ordinances, tracking contract expenditures, conducting data analysis, creating and evaluating bureau purchases, and many other tasks in support of internal procurement processes utilizing principles, concepts, and practices applicable to one or more fields of public administration and management.
This positions exercises discretion and independence in applying analytical techniques and developing recommendations and is responsible for performing more difficult and varied analytical assignments than other staff in the unit.
As a Procurement Analyst, you will:
Ideal candidates will have the ability to independently analyze and identify complex, administrative, operational, economic, financial, budgetary, and organizational issues and provide sound recommendations. A successful candidate will have at least two years of professional experience in the areas of finance, business, fiscal analysis, contracting, procurement, or public administration.
