Processing Operator -2nd shift
Position Overview
Operate Ultra High Temperature (UHT) processing equipment and machinery in coordination with Aseptic Filling process to comply with production schedules. Draft reports, fill out production registers, perform preventive maintenance and oversee the automatic Cleaning in Place (CIP) of the equipment and master sanitation schedule.
Job Responsibilities
• Coordinate filling and reprocessing operations to comply with all production schedules.
• Perform all necessary pipeline connections in the raw fluid silos to allow forwarding fluids to the UHT processing equipment.
• Perform mixing transfers from batching to silos.
• Take fluids samples to the laboratory for performance of analysis and present results to the supervisor.
• Perform all cleaning and disinfecting task in the pipeline and equipment as well as in other equipment in the front production area.
• Master Sanitation Schedule tasks will include the cleaning of walls, floors, ceilings, air vents, lights, overhead piping, and exterior surfaces of equipment used in the preparation/packaging/transferring of product.
• Able perform emergency response activity including, but not limited to chemical and water spills, and tank cleaning.
• Perform cleaning utilizing a COP tank.
• Perform chemical titrations.
• Keep a log of temperature, pressure, chemical concentration with the objective to verify that all levels are within the established control limits.
• Perform all preventive maintenance tasks of the equipment under responsibility and report to the supervisor any failure or malfunctioning.
• Request from the supervisor any chemical fluids needed by the equipment for proper performance for the performance of all tasks.
• Report any condition that may be a cause of accident or of risk to personnel and products.
• Observe and ensure food safety, quality protocols, GMPs, and safety regulations are followed at all times.
• Able to work independently.
• Participation in Gehl trainings, meetings, and team building.
• Perform any other tasks related or complimentary as required by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma/GED or commensurate experience
• Mechanical & Technical abilities
• Requires physical effort
• Requires handling chemical fluids/substances
• Ability to obtain Better Processing Certification within first 6-9 months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum of 1 year experience in UHT Processing equipment operations.
• One year experience in food processing, preferred, but not required.

Working Conditions:
Regularly exposed varying temperature conditions between 60-100 degrees Fahrenheit, loud noise, moving machinery parts, airborne particles, allergens including soy, milk and milk by-products and fumes from food processing equipment.
