Prince Service & Manufacturing is looking for individuals who are ethical, customer-focused, problem solvers, flexible, and selfless. As a Pilot Car Driver , you will be responsible for escorting vehicles and guiding large trucks and other vehicles carrying heavy loads.

Location/Schedule: Macon, GA / 1st shift

What You’ll Do:  

• Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.   
• Escorting trucks to ensure the heavy vehicle avoids traffic, obstacles, and other dangerous situations.  
• Communicating with the driver of the truck and other pilot car driver about the road and traffic issues.  
• Assessing the route to ensure it can handle the oversized load.  
• Signaling other drivers that an oversized load is coming through.   
• Managing proof of delivery paperwork from customers.   
• Assisting workers in loading and unloading trucks.   
• Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle.   
• Driving different types of trucks.   
• Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.   
• Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.  
• Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.  
• Other duties as assigned by Management. 

Who You Are:   

• Must have a clean MVR and pass DOT physical and drug screen.
• Must be able to pass the Pilot Car Driver examination. 
• Technical School is a plus, but not required. 
• May occasionally be required to handle items that weigh in excess of 50 pounds.  
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate the English language and follow verbal and written instruction.  
• Must have customer service skills.  
• Must be able to work as a team and independently.   
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.  
• Must be able to follow all safety regulations.   
• Good time-management skills. 
• Duties that may require occasional kneeling, standing, stooping, and bending are required.
