Quatrro Business Support Services is seeking a Director of Accounting for our non-profit team in Chicago, IL. As the Director of Accounting, you will oversee the end-to-end accounting processes for multiple non-profit clients. Serving as the main point of contact and internal liaison for our clients, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping a compelling vision for developing and implementing an effective client strategy that will empower them to reach their financial goals and objectives successfully. This role will require occasional travel in and around Chicago and the greater Chicagoland area. Only candidates located in the Chicago area will be considered.

Responsibilities: 

• Deliver accurate and timely financial statements, coaching, and counseling to stakeholders and operations managers to help improve margins and impact their bottom line  
• Lead budget processes and incorporate periodic analytics
• Work closely with clients to solve issues related to complicated financial statement situations
• Monitor finances to aid clients functioning within those guidelines, and provide financial analysis and advice to clients
• Provide best practices within Quatrro to help the client improve their business execution
• Coordinate with other internal Quatrro teams for consultative support on all financial services 
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to cross-functional teams aligned to a particular client delivery process
• Address client concerns and issues to ensure they are resolved promptly and dealt with according to client satisfaction

Qualifications:

Required :   

• 4-year degree in accounting, finance, or business with an accounting/finance focus
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting and finance
• Experience working with Not-For-Profit organizations (Education or Health and Human Services sector is ideal)
• Versed in federal, city, and state grant administration, including compliance, budgeting, and allocation
• Proven success providing consulting services to multiple clients at once
• Demonstrated people management experience and success leading a team of direct reports, with a focus on coaching and developing Senior Accountants and Accounting Managers
• Advanced knowledge of federal and state tax laws
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and functions in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of industry-specific accounting software and advanced Excel skills
• Deep understanding of accounting principles and processes
• Experienced in creating processes and efficiencies 
• Strong business acumen and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated success working collaboratively and building relationships with key stakeholders and C-level executives

Preferred :   

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
• MBA degree
• Experience in a consulting or business process outsourcing (BPO) environment
• Proven success leading both in-person and decentralized/virtual teams

The estimated pay range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000/year.
