Job Title: MRI Technologist

Job Type: Contract | Evening Shift
Schedule: 5 Days/Week | 8-Hour Shifts
Pay Rate: $85 - $90 per hour
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused MRI Technologist to join a well-established imaging team in Ithaca, NY. This role is ideal for a motivated imaging professional with at least one year of experience in MRI or CT, seeking to provide high-quality diagnostic care in a collaborative and patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:Perform MRI and radiographic imaging procedures under the direction of department radiologists.
Prepare and position patients for imaging exams, ensuring accuracy, safety, and comfort.
Operate MRI equipment efficiently, adjusting exposure settings in compliance with departmental protocols.
Follow radiation safety protocols and infection control standards at all times.
Accurately document patient data and procedures in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
Report equipment malfunctions or issues to supervisory staff in a timely manner.
Ensure a compassionate, supportive, and professional experience for every patient.
Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
Valid New York State License and Registration as a Radiologic Technologist.
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in MRI or CT imaging required.
Completion of pre-employment health clearance.
Strong working knowledge of anatomy, imaging protocols, and MRI safety.
Excellent communication, organizational, and technical skills.
