Military Construction Business Development Representative

ESSENTIAL DETAILS:
  • Essential role supporting sales, project management, vendor coordination, procuring new suppliers and coordination of such
  • Wide customer base including military installations, government, industrial locations
  • Knowledge and experience in an industrial environment
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred working with DoD/Military contracts
  • Relocation assistance
  • Willing to submit to a stringent background screening (Federal Contractor)

POSITION PURPOSE:
The EST  Military Construction Business Development Representative will be assigned accounts, prospects, as well as researching and finding new business.  Tasks will involve sales support, logistics, vendor research, marketing, project support and service application for the DoD as well as other industries.  In addition, will secure new business relationships while maintaining existing client relationships.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate for the Military Construction Business Development Representative  role will have proven communication, customer service and interpersonal skills; as well as sales, negotiation skills, research and strategy, business intelligence, and networking abilities in previous roles in an industrial products environment. Financial acumen, analytical skills and the ability to use current tools/technologies is required to execute position functions.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree or minimum 5 years of related experience
  • Understanding of the importance of being a team player to achieve organizational goals 
  • Fluent in English, excellent communication, listening skills, self-motivated, sense of urgency, personable, well organized and dependable. 
  • Experience in an industrial products environment required and knowledge in mechanical, plumbing, electrical equipment and electronic systems a plus.
  • Strong computer skills including 3 years' experience with MS Office in a work environment (Excel & Outlook). CRM experience highly preferred. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Passport, Military base passes, Driver’s license and other access credentials. 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
  • May involves prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk doing computer work  
  • Traveling in a vehicle or on an airplane – 10% 
  • Ability to routinely lift 30 pounds 
  • Ability to utilize a ladder with 300 pounds weight limit 
  • May include travel on a commercial airline
