Building Location: 32nd Avenue Building Department: [click to reveal phone number]3012010 GENERAL LAB - 32ND HOSP : We're searching for an experienced Hematology Tech to work in our Special Hematology Department in addition to rotating through the General Lab. In the Special Hematology Department you will do a variety of specialty testing such as bronchoalveolar lavage differentials, semen analysis, bone marrow collections, evaluation of abnormal peripheral blood smears, coagulation factor testing and mixing studies. Will perform and report tests of all complexity levels, as defined by CLIA, on patients of all ages to assist with the routine screening, diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and injuries. Will interpret and correlate test results with disease states and theoretical knowledge, exhibit problem solving skills of a highly complex nature, participate in Quality Assurance, Quality Control monitoring, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting. May be required to perform phlebotomy and specimen processing duties and will participate in research, development, education, and technical consultation. Meets Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) guidelines for the complexity of laboratory testing. Education Qualifications: Graduate of a four-year degree program in an accredited school of clinical laboratory science, or equivalent discipline. $10,000 Sign-on Bonus! (for external candidates) Licensure/Certification Qualifications: Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP), Medical Technologist (ASCP), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (NCA) or equivalent is required within one year from the date of hire. Current license or provisional license through the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice within 45 days of hire or transfer.
