The Opportunity:
● We are looking for a full-time Mechanical Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This person will engineer HVAC and/or plumbing systems, and go out to existing and new building work sites. The right candidate will be detail-oriented and able to communicate effectively with other design team members.
● This is an in-office, full-time position with salary compensation and benefits.
Job Responsibilities:
● Take on growing responsibility designing commercial, medical, multi-family, and public building HVAC and/or plumbing systems.
● Work closely with other team members, 80% of your time doing engineering calculations and using Autodesk Revit for 3D HVAC or plumbing systems modeling, and 20% of your time on job sites for initial investigation or construction observations of these systems.
● Conducting existing building investigations and documenting existing mechanical systems.
● Occasionally assisting in design meetings with architects, owners, and clients.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
● Excellent listening skills to apply the training provided by senior engineers for design of mechanical building systems
● Excellent attention to detail and checks own work
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Experience in Revit mechanical systems modeling and/or AutoCAD 2D drafting is beneficial
● Able to manage time and multiple project priorities well
● The ideal candidate will be a mechanical engineer with prior HVAC/plumbing systems engineering or installation experience, but this is not a requirement for hiring.
