Part-Time Mechanical Engineer (15-20 hrs/week)

Dive into the realm of innovation where you'll use cutting-edge tools to bring new products to life and support a variety of design and manufacturing projects.

What You’ll Do:

• Create and Innovate: Design and develop components and assemblies using 3D CAD software (SOLIDWORKS).
• Technical Mastery: Prepare detailed 2D technical CAD drawings and set up sophisticated 3D print jobs using FFF, SLA and SLS technologies.
• Hands-On Experience: Operate and assist with 3D scanners and 3D printers, supporting prototyping, reverse engineering, and other projects.
• Collaborate: Work with the engineering team on projects involving both advanced 3D printing and traditional manufacturing methods such as CNC, injection molding, and casting.

Who You Are:

• Educationally and Professionally Engaged: Background in Mechanical Engineering with experience in 3D CAD and familiarity with 3D printing.
• Technically Proficient: Skilled in SOLIDWORKS, with hands-on experience using FFF, SLS, and other 3D printing technologies (preferred but not required).
• Team Player: Excited to be part of a small, energetic team in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• Hands-On Problem Solver: Able to balance desk work (CAD design) with hands-on operation of 3D printers, scanners, and other machinery.
