The Nurse Educator Maternity Services will be based out of a community hospital in North Carolina that provides exceptional care to patients throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.
Reporting to the Director of Women & Children Services, the Maternity Nurse Educator will oversee nursing education for the Labor Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Special Care Nursery, and Pediatric Department. Responsibilities of the Maternity Nurse Educator include new-hire orientation, managing the preceptor program, ensuring best practices are utilized, updating policy procedures, and working as a liaison between the nursing departments and the education team.
The ideal Maternity Nurse Educator will have previous clinical experience working in a Labor Delivery, Mother Baby or NICU unit, along with experience as a preceptor, educator, or charge nurse within a women and children services unit.
