We’re seeking a strategic, results-driven Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to join our dynamic cannabis retail leadership team! If you are passionate about driving growth through innovative marketing strategies and possess a deep understanding of the cannabis industry, we want to hear from you. As the CMO, you’ll oversee the performance of our marketing efforts, including a talented team of marketing assistants, and ensure our brand thrives in a rapidly evolving market.

Experience:
  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally with a background in the cannabis industry or highly regulated sectors.
  • A successful track record of leading and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns with measurable results.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, including social media strategy, content development, email marketing, and influencer partnerships.
  • Experience working with platforms such as Weedmaps, Dutchie eCommerce, Dutchie Backoffice, Alpine Texting Platform, and CRM systems is essential.
Knowledge:
  • A deep understanding of marketing principles, digital marketing tactics, and consumer behavior within the cannabis industry.
  • Expertise in industry-specific marketing regulations, including compliance with state and federal cannabis advertising guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, content marketing, and data analytics to drive performance optimization and ROI.
  • Ability to utilize marketing automation tools, analytics platforms, and social media management systems for strategic decision-making and campaign optimization.
Personality:
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team towards excellence.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating brand messaging.

What You’ll Do:
  • Strategic Oversight: Lead the overall marketing strategy for the cannabis retail brand, including digital, print, and experiential marketing campaigns.
  • Campaign Leadership: Direct the development, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and sales.
  • Team Management: Oversee and mentor the marketing team, including marketing assistants, to ensure the execution of high-quality campaigns.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (Sales, Product, Operations) to align marketing efforts with overall business goals and ensure cohesive communication.
  • Compliance and Regulation: Ensure all marketing initiatives comply with cannabis-specific advertising laws and regulations, maintaining brand integrity and protecting the company.
  • Performance Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights to evaluate campaign performance, optimize marketing strategies, and improve ROI.
  • Branding & Positioning: Enhance the company’s market position by refining our brand messaging and ensuring consistency across all marketing channels.
  • Customer Insights: Leverage market research, consumer data, and competitor analysis to refine marketing strategies and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Digital & Social Media Strategy: Oversee social media marketing strategies, including content planning, influencer partnerships, and community engagement.
Skills:
  • MUST have a deep understanding of Dutchie eCommerce, Dutchie Backoffice, Weedmaps, and Canva platforms.
  • MUST possess expertise in leading marketing teams and campaigns with a focus on performance.
  • Strong experience in brand development, digital marketing, and campaign analytics.
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance requirements specific to cannabis marketing.
