Position Purpose:

The purpose of the Mail Carrier position is to sort and deliver inter- and outer- office mail in a timely manner. Along with other duties, as assigned.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Pickup, sort, and distribute all mail from Post Office and between all United Buildings.
• Maintain equipment, contact service people when necessary.
• Assist with weekly station mailing preparations for payroll.
• Maintain Company vehicle.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Organizational and prioritization skills
• Must possess a valid driver’s license

Programs/Equipment Used:
Pitney Bowes sealing postage machine

Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Environment:

• Indoors; offices, mailroom
• Outside, to mail vehicle, between URC buildings, and to Post Office

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to stoop and bend
• Able to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Able to walk long distances
