Premier law firm seeks a junior to mid-level Litigation Attorney to join its Litigation Group in Los Angeles. What you'll do:
• Run cases from start to finish in collaboration with senior attorney
• Manage client relationships
• Serve as point of contact for opposing counsel
• Draft legal briefs
• Guide strategic decisions in complex litigation matters
• Manage and coordinate with partners, paralegals, and assistants on matters
• Manage multiple deadlines and tasks for various clients at once
• Assess legal risk for clients
• Research complicated legal questions
What you'll need:
• 3-6 years of commercial litigation experience and a JD from a top 100 law school. Exposure to intellectual property litigation, entertainment litigation, corporate disputes, and real estate litigation is a plus.
• Trial experience preferred
• Strong legal writing and research skills are a must
• Ability to manage multiple matters and stay on top of deadlines, strong organizational skills
• Ease in managing client relationships
• Able to supervise matters throughout the entire life cycle (pre-litigation counseling and handling litigation from inception through trial)
• Able to run cases and manage paralegals and assistants
• Positive attitude, team player, someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys mentoring entry-level lawyers
