Direct Hire opportunity for a Junior Buyer role in the Miamisburg, Ohio area! Responsibilities: • Placing of purchase orders and works orders to ensure inventory is kept at
optimum levels.
• Get quotes from vendors and negotiating pricing.
• Ensure orders to suppliers enable shipments to us on time and in full.
• Work with vendors to expedite orders and maintain OTD metrics.
• Resolve discrepancies between inter-company purchase orders.
• Picking and packing of products for Will Call orders.
• Receiving of good in.
• Releasing of stock transfers from in-state warehouse to out of state warehouse.
• Managing supplier portals for pricing analysis and expediting orders.
• Organization of quotes and maintaining a database to efficiently access quotes.
• Accurately record sales transactions between various business units.
• Deliver quotes in a timely manner to various business units.
• Uphold inter-company charter in a positive manner.
• Ensure ERP data is kept updated and maintained to the highest standard.
• Updating of delivery dates within the ERP system.
• To perform other reasonable duties on an Ad-hoc basis that may be required by
the Company.
Qualifications: - Microsoft Software, such as Excel and Outlook.
- A track record of consistently delivering on commercial targets.
- Comfortable with lean management tools and culture.
- A tenacious approach to supplier negotiations
- Proficient in order management and ERP software.
- Detail oriented and excellent ability to multitask.
- Innovative, entrepreneurial and comfortable challenging the status-quo.
- Commercially focused and results orientated.
- Data driven mindset demonstrated by strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Strong communication skills to strengthen supply chain relationships.
- A team player capable of working on their own initiative
