Who You Are: As a Junior Business Analyst on the Product Marketing team, you will be part of a dynamic group responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and supporting product marketing initiatives. This role is designed for those looking to develop a strong foundation in business analysis, product development, and product marketing. You will have the opportunity to learn our products inside and out, gaining the experience needed to move into consulting roles and contribute to future implementation projects.
At the Analyst-Level, you will be expected to contribute to the development of recommendations, business knowledge and technology awareness, provide meaningful input into client deliverables/proposals, and take ownership of assigned tasks. You will conduct research, collect data, and perform quantitative and qualitative analyses to support business solutions. Most importantly, you will embrace our firm’s brand and core values.
Role and Responsibilities: You may work on various projects throughout your career with Excelacom. The roles and responsibilities noted below pertain to the specific role listed above.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Assist in creating product marketing materials, conducting market research, and supporting promotional activities.
- Contribute to the design and development of product roadmaps based on market research, business needs and customer feedback.
- Assist in the preparation of project reports, presentations, and other documentation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (development, marketing, sales, etc.) to ensure product alignment with business goals.
- Participate in product testing and ensure user requirements are met.
- Develop a strong understanding of company products and their application in the market.
- Support product managers in day-to-day activities, including research, analysis, content creation and reporting.
- In addition to delivering at the client site, you will occasionally be tasked in productizing Excelacom’s work, contributing to our Center of Excellence and intermittently working on Excelacom proposals to the client.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, MIS or Communications or related field with a GPA of 3.7 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Strong written/verbal communication and math skills with an analytical approach
- Ability to interact cross-functionally with various levels management and peers
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team-based environment
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in a professional office environment
- Previous internship or work experience in business analysis, marketing, or product management (not required but a plus).
- Familiarity with market research techniques, data analysis, or product lifecycle management.
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) is a plus.
