What You Will Be Doing As an Intern you will be supporting the Volvo Trucks User Experience design team in the discovery, definition and development of in-vehicle concepts. You will secure the technical feasibility and validity of said in-vehicle concepts, propose / introduce new technical solutions to the Driver Interface / Electrical Engineering department. You will also identify and propose solutions to conflicts between feature requirements and technical feasibility, as well as secure that the product message and brand distinction is followed for digital content.
Responsibilities - Access HMI / UX data from the different systems used within Volvo Group.
- Communicate technical data between Group Design, Electrical and Driver Interface.
- Support the Group Design team with digital assets.
- Participate in Group Designs development process.
- Act as an active link between Group Design and Brand/EE.
- Support team by building digital proposals utilizing typical UX toolkit items such as: user flows, storyboards, wireframes, mock-ups and interactive prototypes.
- Support team development of its UX concept buck used to validate UX Design proposals.
Essential Skills - Must be highly skilled in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop and Illustrator) and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of the following a plus: Qt, HTML/CSS, ProtoPie or video editing software,
- Problem solving on a high level
- Experience with Agile way of working

Requirements - Applicant must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Design and/or User Experience (Computer Science, UX) at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies prior to the start of the co-op/internship.
- Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.
- This internship will require up to 40 hours per week during the Summer 2025 semester. Interns will be expected to spend their internship time working in the office.

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $16.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
