Job Title:

Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach

Job Description:

The New York Sports Science Lab (Staten Island, NY) is currently seeking candidates for the position of Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach. Located at a Private High School, this positions primary focus will be directing and developing all levels of sports performance for the school’s football program with the additional responsibilities of developing and coaching other select teams during footballs off-season as directed by the Director of Strength and Conditioning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Designing year-long and season appropriate, comprehensive strength and conditioning program for assigned teams.

· Assists in scheduling, managing, and upkeep of the facility.

· Tracks and evaluates athlete attendance and progress variables, consistently and at the standard of the Sports Science Lab.

· Meets with coaches, athletic trainers, and administration as needed to communicate the status of the student athletes.

· Supervises and assists with the management of the physical education classes during the day.

Qualifications (Required):

· Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in either Exercise Science, Sports Science, Physical Education or in a health-related field. Master’s degree in Sports Science, Exercise Science, or health-related field preferred.

· Nationally recognized certification in Strength and Conditioning:

o Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA)

o Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (CSCCa)

o High School Strength and Conditioning Coaches Certification (NHSSCA)

· 2+ Years of experience working in football performance or in a collegiate setting is preferred.

· Experience with Sports Science Technology (preferred) including but not limited to:

o TeamBuildr

o Vald Technologies (Force Plate and Sprint Lasers)

o Velocity-Based Training Modalities

· Passion for driving innovation in sports science and athlete performance.

· Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with athletes and coaching staff.

Schedule:

· Full-Time

· Monday to Friday (95% of time)

· Must be available to work - Mornings, Nights, and Weekends as needed.

Salary:

$50,000 - $60,000 Salary to commensurate with experience
