**Firewatch/Helper - San Diego, CA** **Job Description** The Firewatch/Helper plays a crucial role in supporting all functional areas of LCAC refurbishment efforts. This position involves picking, handling, and organizing materials and tools, assisting ship fitters, mechanics, electricians, and welders, and maintaining cleanliness in work and office areas. **Responsibilities** + Pick, handle, and organize materials and tools. + Assist ship fitters, mechanics, electricians, and welders. + Maintain cleanliness in work and office areas. + Stand by and observe welders to ensure safe operations and prevent fires. **Essential Skills** + Good attention to detail for monitoring welding activities. + General mechanical aptitude. + Ability to maintain focus throughout the entire shift. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Mechanical, construction, and labor experience. + Experience with hand tools, drills, and carpentry. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
