Fire Sprinkler CAD Designer
Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler CAD Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and drafting fire sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of fire safety regulations and the ability to produce detailed construction drawings and blueprints for installation.
Key Responsibilities - Design and draft fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD and other design software.
- Ensure all designs adhere to NFPA standards and local building codes.
- Perform hydraulic calculations for fire protection systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop efficient fire protection solutions.
- Review and analyze project specifications and blueprints for compliance and accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of construction drawings and documentation for fire sprinkler systems.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to fire protection and safety.
- Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams during the construction phase.
Qualifications - Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Designer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, codes, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
- Familiarity with NFPA standards and hydraulic calculations.
- Experience with fire alarm systems and plumbing systems is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- NICET certification in Fire Protection Engineering Technology is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with BIM and MEP design is an advantage.
