A family in Paramus, NJ is looking for an energetic Nanny to care for their 3-year-old and newborn expected in May. This caregiver will be primarily responsible for the newborn while the 3-year-old is in daycare, but will be expected to care for both after school hours. The schedule will be Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, with flexibility for later hours or overnight care as needed, likely one or two nights per month.
Duties:
Assisting with tasks related to the newborn such as feeding, diaper changes, and managing his nap schedule. Household chores such as cleaning bottles and dishes, preparing meals for the children, children’s laundry, vacuuming, and basic tidying after the children. Occasionally assisting with helping the toddler get ready for school. Restocking diapers and wipes, assisting with diaper pail, and ensuring play and living areas are kept clean. Engaging with the children through developmentally appropriate activities.

Someone independent who prioritizes building a relationship with the children through engaging activities, talking to them, and playing with them. This nanny should be communicative, proactive, and understanding. Someone willing to work with the parents as a team while still respecting the parents boundaries. A nanny who is open to traveling with the family is a bonus for this home.
