Reviews proposal specifications, drawings, and attends pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required content of estimates & provide complete conceptual estimates and estimates prepared with incomplete plans to carry through to final estimates.
Works with team members to provide estimates for facilities maintenance projects performed at Naval Station Mayport, Florida, Marine Corps Support Facility - Blount Island (MCSF-BI) Jacksonville, Florida, and the outlying areas supported by these commands.
US citizenship is required. Planning/Estimating experience in more than one of the following fields: Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing/Pipefitting, Utility Systems, High Voltage Electricity, Carpentry, and/or Painting. Two (2) years college or vocational training in area of specialty desired or five (5) years relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education/ experience for total of five (5) years.
Experience estimating, and cost control
Experience estimating with P&ID drawings.
Working knowledge of RS Means estimating program or equivalent, desired.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office with a proficiency in Excel.
Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards, estimating techniques, engineering, scheduling, project delivery and cost control.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
