NOW RECRUITING FOR AN ENTRY LEVEL OR LATERAL POLICE OFFICER
The City of Cottage Grove Police Department is actively recruiting for an Entry Level or Lateral Police Officer to join our department. Entry Level Applicants:
Complete and PASS the required Fronline National Testing through NTN
Complete and PASS the ORPAT
Email your completed City of Cottage Grove Application and resume to the Cottage Grove HR
Lateral Applicants (currently certified through DPSST) should email a completed City of Cottage Grove Application (found on the City website) and Resume the Cottage Grove HR.
Applicants wishing to claim Veterans Preference should email a copy of their DD214 along with the Veterans preference form.

Job Requirements
Age: 21
Citizenship Required: Yes
High School Grad/GED: Yes
Valid OREGON Driver's License: Yes, Oregon driver license required.
Ability to Read/Speak English: Yes
Vision: Must meet the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training requirements as detailed in Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) .
College: Not required
Academy Certification:
Preferred. Lateral applicants must possess at least a Basic certification from the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, and/or any equivalent out-of-state certification recognized by DPSST.
Prior Experience: Preferred, not required
Hiring Process:
Candidates must pass all written, physical, oral, background, medical, and psychological examinations.
