About the Role We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Energy Policy Analyst to join our client's team in a fully remote capacity. This role involves researching, analyzing, and influencing energy policies to support sustainable development and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of energy markets, legislative processes, and sustainability frameworks.
Responsibilities
Policy Research and Analysis : Conduct in-depth research on energy policies, regulations, and market trends at local, state, and federal levels.
Regulatory Monitoring : Stay updated on new and emerging energy legislation, analyzing its potential impact on stakeholders and businesses.
Policy Development Support : Collaborate with internal teams to craft and advocate for policy proposals that align with organizational goals.
Stakeholder Engagement : Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, industry groups, and advocacy organizations to influence policy outcomes.
Economic Impact Studies : Analyze the economic implications of energy policies and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
Report Preparation : Prepare comprehensive reports, white papers, and policy briefs to communicate findings to diverse audiences.
Data Visualization : Use tools like Tableau or Power BI to present complex policy analyses in an accessible and visually compelling format.
Advocacy Support : Assist in developing advocacy strategies and campaigns to promote favorable energy policies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Environmental Science, Energy Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees are preferred.
Proven experience in energy policy analysis, research, or advocacy.
Strong understanding of energy markets, renewable energy technologies, and regulatory frameworks.
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data and policy documents.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting policy briefs and presenting to stakeholders.
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Familiarity with U.S. energy policies, climate initiatives, and global sustainability trends is highly desirable.
