Job Title: Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Dallas, TX
Location: Multiple School Sites in Dallas, TX (Primarily High School)
Schedule: Full-Time | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (varies by school)
Contract Dates: ASAP - May 27, 2026
Pay Rate: $40/hour
Position Overview:
We are hiring four full-time Educational Sign Language Interpreters to support deaf and hard-of-hearing students across general education classrooms in Dallas, TX. This role is essential in facilitating effective communication between students who use American Sign Language (ASL) and their peers, teachers, and staff.
Responsibilities:
+ Provide ASL interpretation for students in general education settings (grades K-12, primarily high school).
+ Support students in small group settings.
+ Collaborate with classroom staff to ensure inclusive learning environments.
+ Translate spoken language into ASL and vice versa during classroom instruction and school activities.
Caseload Details:
+ Serve between 1-15 students per interpreter.
+ Most support will be in general education classrooms.
+ Classroom support provided.
Qualifications:
+ BEI Certification (required)
+ State Board of Education Initial Sign Language Interpreter Certificate (if applicable)
+ EIPA and/or RID Certification (as required by state or client)
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
+ Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
