Job Description

Lincoln Transportation LLC is excited to announce an opening for a Dedicated Flatbed Class A Driver. We are looking for a reliable and experienced individual to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for those who prefer daily home time while maintaining a professional driving career. Please note, this position is not remote and requires physical attendance.

As a Dedicated Flatbed Class A Driver at Lincoln Transportation LLC, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods while ensuring timelines are met. The job entails significant responsibility, requiring diligence, precision, and a commitment to safety in all weather conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Transport goods and materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
  • Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions.
  • Report defects, accidents, or violations.
  • Ensure cargo is secured properly compliant with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting hazardous goods.
  • Operate equipment such as edge protectors and chains to secure loads.
  • Handle unexpected events or delays efficiently while adhering to regulatory and procedural guidelines.

Requirements

  • Class A CDL.
  • Minimum age of 22 years.
  • No DUIs in the last 5 years.
  • Willing to consider applicants with felony convictions on a case-by-case basis.
  • No history of failed drug screenings.
  • At least 12 months of OTR experience with a minimum of 6 months in flatbed driving.
  • Availability to work Monday through Thursday, with conditional work on Fridays if needed.
  • Ability to manage a schedule starting gate times between 6-8 am depending on seniority.
  • The route comprises a 68-mile round trip.
  • Willingness to handle up to 3 loads per day, each possibly comprising 1-3 coils.
  • Tarp pay is included in the weekly compensation.
  • Maintain 100% attendance for a weekly pay of $1,350.
  • A commitment to safety and professionalism at all times.
