Herdsperson position available for person interested in working with 300 adult registered and 220 head of young stock on a dairy farm in South Central Minnesota. Cows are milked in an eight year old swing 12 parlor with Dairy Master milking equipment. MUST have recent experience on a dairy farm this size and be knowledgeable about all aspects of a dairy farm. Responsibilities include milking, monitoring cow health including detection of D.A’s, treating mastitis, retained placentas and pneumonia, heat detection, ovsynch programs, AI, and cow identification. Must be a real “cow person” with excellent animal observation skills.
