Construction Estimator / Project Manager (Hybrid – Charlotte, NC Area)

We're looking for a motivated Construction Estimator / Project Manager with strong industry knowledge and a civil engineering background (or equivalent experience). If you thrive in a hybrid environment—balancing remote estimating with hands-on site management—this is the role for you.
Analyze and interpret construction plans and specifications
Prepare accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates for paving and asphalt projects
Manage project timelines, budgets, and subcontractors from start to finish
Oversee job site operations to ensure compliance and quality standards
Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and engineers for smooth project execution
Proactively identify project risks and implement solutions
Maintain adherence to safety guidelines and construction best practices
3+ years of experience in reading plans and/or project management within the construction, paving, or asphalt industry
Background in civil engineering preferred (or proven expertise in the industry)
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office tools
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to work independently (estimating) and lead teams on-site (project management)
Willingness to put in the effort required to drive successful outcomes
Hybrid model : Remote estimating/takeoff + On-site project management
Projects are based within an hour of Charlotte (Mecklenburg and surrounding counties)
