**Job Title: Painter** **Job Description** We are seeking experienced commercial and residential painters to join our dynamic team for a temporary assignment during the summer recess at Stanford University. Projects will be located in Mountain View, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Sunnyvale, with the majority of work at Stanford University. This is a 3-4 month assignment with typical working hours from 8am to 4pm, with potential for overtime. **Responsibilities** + Paint, stain, and varnish surfaces using brushes and sprayers. + Prepare surfaces by sanding, plastering, and sheet rock finishing. + Mix and match paint colors as needed. + Waterproof various surfaces. + Refinish furniture such as chairs, bookcases, and desks. + Set glass and apply putty. + Paint signs and occasionally hang wallpaper. **Essential Skills** + At least 3 years of recent commercial painting experience. + Ability to switch locations as needed. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Possess painting tools and a grip bag with materials such as rollers, brushes, and buckets. + Reliable transportation. + Wear all-white long pants and sleeves as typical painting attire. + Pack a lunch as there is no time to leave campus for meals. **Why Work Here?** Gain great exposure to painting in commercial and multifamily settings. Painters must be able to work in all weather conditions and be open to flexible hours including weekends and overtime. Daily work orders are received from Stanford between 3:30pm and 5pm for the following day's needs, with dispatch managed accordingly. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Stanford, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
